Status

Proof of my life in art.

"When I was 30, I took a health test that said I will die at 47. I am currently 47, so I need to present my status."

This book captures just about every piece of art I made from 2001 - September, 2024. It is organized conceptually by series (and more-or-less in chronological order). It offers an unfiltered look at my artistic development.

Ten years of advertising, post persuasion.

Making ads for the sake of making ads

This book chronicles my experimentation with the genre of advertising. I spent the early part of my art life making and running ads just for the sake of making them. There was no product and nothing to sell. I just made them for the sake of making them. This book offer insight into why I was doing that and what my goals were.

Murder Mansion

What if every comic book panel was an ad?

Murder Mansion is fundamentally an experiment in narrative formula. It's my attempt to see whether a series of unrelated ads can be strung together to tell a cohesive and compelling story. The comic book format is a perfect model for tackling this challenge and I hope there are many more issues to come.

Post Persuasion ads

Ads I ran in Streetwise magazine.

Beginning in 2012, I ran 16 ads in Chicago's Streetwise Magazine. During that time period, I was their #1 most consistent advertiser. I have a handful of copies left. They are probably the only ones that still exist. I'd love for you to love to have one.

*footnote Magazine

In 2013 I created *footnote Magazine. I paid writers for content. I ran multiple Post Persuasion ads in each issue. I published three issues. I gave them away at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and in the Menil Collection Bookstore. I have a few copies left.
